Overview
Go to Amer Fort to watch the amazing sound and light show, which tells the story of the fort and Jaipur dynasty. Watch a stunning blend of history, anecdotes, music, and special effects.
What to Expect
For this 4-hour tour to Amer Fort, you will be picked up from your Jaipur hotel in the evening after sunset. The show covers the story of Amer Fort and the Jaipur dynasty, with a blend of history, anecdotes, music, and lighting effects. Shows runs daily in English and Hindi, and last approximately 50 minutes.

Amer Fort, also known as Amber Fort, holds the keys to 600 years of history, through 28 kings of the Kachhwaha Dynasty, before their capital moved to Jaipur. The rulers not only established a long dynasty but, in time, played a part in changing the destiny of medieval India.

The 50 minute show takes you on a royal journey, highlighting the historical background of Jaipur, its sovereigns, monuments, and ancient anecdotes. Listen to a musical extravaganza of local legends and folklore, with a myriad of music that gives Rajasthan its unique identity.

After the show, you will be taken to the Surbhi Restaurant for dinner. The heritage restaurant is located in a 300-year-old building that was the former palace of Rao Kripa Ram, Prime Minister of Sawai Jai Singh, and founder of Jaipur.

Enjoy a-la-carte Indian, Chinese, Rajasthani, and International food, including from the outdoor Tandoor. Watch puppet shows and listen to songs sung by Rajasthani Bhopa singers as you dine. There is also an extensive library of coffee-table books on Rajasthan and India for guests to browse.

The restaurant’s unique Turban Museum contains the world’s largest collection of turbans, which you can visit to get a turban demonstration, before your return to Jaipur for your hotel drop-off.
