What people are saying about Jaffa Gate, Jerusalem

Overall rating

3.6
(43 reviews)

The tour was perfect. Our guides, Alena and Izak, were beyond outstanding. They took us both on and a bit off the beaten track in the Old City, and they were not just knowledgeable but lovely, friendly, and downright delightful. We will recommend them to all our family and friends who visit Israel, and next time we are here we will ask them for tours of other parts of Jerusalem and other parts of Israel that we are not particularly knowledgeable about. In short, we recommend them without hesitation. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would.

Moshe the guide was a friendly and knowledgeable elderly man, and was happy to visit with me some of the Jerusalem sights that do not belong to the standard tours, which otherwise have done a couple of times before. We visited the Church of St Peter in Gallicantu, which has also a nice model of the city of Jerusalem, then we visited the cistern of St Helena, the underground original street level at the Convent of the Sisters of Zion, and more. It was a pleasure!

Moshe was an incredibly well informed guide. Showed us things that I had not seen before (and I’ve gone on many old city tours in the past). We tried to stump him, and he had the answer almost instantly each time. Towards the end of the third hour the group started to lose energy and he didn’t read the room well, but he even showed us unique places to get a meal in the mahane yehuda market.

Very interesting, informative and fun. Due to problems outside of my guides control (the Jerusalem Marathon causing road closures) he found other places to see and experience. Even went to the Jewish Market and helped me order some pastries I never heard of before. Good experience from beginning to end.

Moses was an excellent guide, adapting to our needs and covered all the significant highlights. A wealth of knowledge and captivating.
