Meet our guide in Bernabé Soriano 8, to go the Plaza de Santa María where you will start discovering the buildings of the Town Hall, the Archbishop's Palace and the impotent Cathedral of Jaén. The latter will be the protagonist of our first part of the tour. Jaén Cathedral was conceived in the 16th century to replace the previous Gothic temple of the 15th century. The construction took several centuries, although the original idea was maintained. With the entrance ticket included in this Tour you will get to know its interior and all the richness it houses. Continue through the streets of the Jewish quarter, where you will find the Fuente de los Caños, Francisco del Castillo's drinking fountain. Continue along Calle Rostro to wander through these labyrinthine and narrow streets more typical of other times. Then you will be impressed by the Arab Baths of Jaén, the only Muslim bath that has survived to the present day out of the five that the city once had. You will enter the baths after visiting one of the rooms of the imposing Villardompardo Palace. Once in the baths, you will visit each of its rooms: the Vestibule, the Cold Room, the Warm Room and the Hot Room. Finally, you will discover the legend of the Lizard of Jaén, and you will see the exterior of the Church of La Magdalena, the only parish church in the city which, despite being Christian, still maintains vestiges of one of the major mosques of Jaén.

Discover our city at nightfall on a tour of approximately 2 hours, exploring its many legends, ghosts and rich monumental history. We will begin our journey at Bernabé Soriano Street, 8, to visit our first place: the Plaza de la Constitución, the epicentre of the city, where you can park your vehicle in the underground car park. We will meet next to the Potter's Monument. Then, we'll head towards the charming neighbourhood of San Ildefonso, walking along its picturesque streets such as Cuatro Torres and Reja de la Capilla. Just in front of the Gothic entrance, we will share the fascinating legend of the Virgen de la Capilla and show you the exterior of the chapel of the patron saint of Jaén. We will continue to the Plaza de San Ildefonso, where the Basilica Menor, the second most important church in Jaén, is located. We will go up Bernabé Soriano street, known as "La Carrera", and we will take a walk around the Cathedral, passing by San Francisco Square and Almenas street. There, you will discover the different stages of our cathedral and the most iconic legends that surround it. When we arrive at the Plaza de Santa María, you'll be left speechless as you admire its impressive façade and hear the story of the haunting ghost of the Cathedral's child. You'll experience chills as you learn about the terrifying legend of Father Canillas at the Arch of San Lorenzo and the tragic stories of the Civil War at the War Shelter. We'll stop at the Plaza de la Audiencia to explore the city's oldest theatre and finish our tour by working up an appetite in the local taverns. Visit one of the most emblematic monument of the city. Its construction dates back to the 16th century and is the work of Andrés de Vandelvira. It is one of the most beautiful architectural pieces in Andalusia and therefore in Spain. This Cathedral has in its treasure the authentic canvas in which Saint Veronica collected, with the sweat of her passion, the face of Our Lord. The cathedral of Jaén is the symbol and the most plastic expression of the splendor that the diocese of Jaén went through during the 16th-18th centuries. Explore the chapels of the cathedral, tall galleries, ancient pantheon, sacristy and chapter room, and the sacrarium.

Between the Museum of Iberian Art and the Museum of Jaén, at the height of the Church of Cristo Rey, you will continue the tour along the Paseo de la Estación, the second main thoroughfare of the city, where you will see the monument of the Battles. You will then pass through the prestigious gardens of the square of the same name to get closer to the historic centre. 3rd stop: Plaza de la Audiencia. Starting from the Darymelia municipal theatre, you will begin to walk through the historic centre of Jaén, crossing what used to be called Calle Maestra Baja. You will see the headquarters of the School of Arts and Crafts, the back of the Church of San Juan and the upper part of the Jewish quarter. 4th stop: Arab Baths. At this stop you will discover the largest Arab baths in Spain and the best preserved in Europe. You will then enter the oldest quarter of the city to visit the prestigious Lagarto de Jaén and the primitive church of La Magdalena. From there, you will make a journey in search of the prestigious fortress created under the patron saint of Jaén, Santa Catalina, discovering minute by minute the impressive views of the city and a large part of the province. 5th stop: Santa Catalina Castle. From the top of the Santa Catalina hill, you will retrace your steps to continue the tour discovering the southern part of the city. You will admire its beautiful mountain range and discover the unknown water tanks, until you enter the city again. 6ª parada: Parque del Seminario. La última parada te llevará a atravesar la Plaza de Santa María, aquella que alberga en su interior la Casa Consistorial, el Palacio Episcopal y, por supuesto, la Catedral con su Sagrario Neoclásico anexo al mismo.
