Experience the thrill of a husky safari with a track between 8-10 km. Be the musher of the team, drive your own sled, visit the kennel to play with the dogs, and enjoy warm drinks in the kota at the end of the ride. Warm overalls available (if requested in advance). Be picked up from your hotel in Saariselkä or Ivalo and head to the starting point in Veskoniemi. Upon arrival, meet your guide and receive instructions and stories from an experienced dog musher. Then, set off on your husky safari driving your own sled (2 people in each sled). Visit a husky farm to interact with the dogs and learn about their life journey. Ours is a small kennel and the motto is: QUALITY over quantity. We have only small groups and we want to focus on making this experience the best for our guest and also for our husky family! After the safari, you will be taken back to your hotel in Saariselkä or Ivalo.

The visibility of Northern lights depends for example on the weather and activity of the Sun, but this trip is to offer you the best chance to see the lights on the best possible location in Ivalo – Saariselka area. The site is absolute dark site far from the village lights and hotels. This is important because most of the lights are relatively faint so in absolute darkness you will see much more. The site also has got a great micro climate which means that even if it is foggy on Inari lake or Saariselka fells the sky might be clear on our site. The longer you stay the more you see. This is why our tour is relatively long. The best hour to see the lights is just before the midnight but the best lights may appear whenever. On the way to the site we stop the car even several times if needed and follow the lights. During this tour we also spend nice time in a tepee on the best possible site for following the sky and barbeque for all tastes and diets. We will also advice you in taking pictures and we will make pictures ourselves which we share with you from our cloud service. Please be aware of the pick up times and locations. We keep right to change pickup times. Quality or number of pictures is not guaranteed.

The journey starts with the pick-up from your hotel/accommodation in Saariselkä (15 km radius) or the Ivalo area. The location of our track is almost a one-hour drive from Saariselkä. Our experienced guides are dedicated to ensuring that you have a safe and enjoyable time on the ice, regardless of your skill level. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced skater, Arctic Timetravels will provide the necessary support and guidance to help you enjoy your time on the ice, assist you in moving on the ice, and offer tips to improve your technique, ensuring that you feel confident and comfortable while skating. The skatable surface is approximately 700 meters (a linear track + a square + a short loop) There will be moments to capture amazing photos and videos for your memories. Ice skating on Inari Lake is also about immersing yourself in the beauty of the surroundings. It’s a magical experience to glide on the ice surrounded by the islands of the frozen lake. So, don't worry if you're new to ice skating or if you haven't skated in a while. We make sure you will have a fantastic time, and make memories together. Lace up your skates! Please note that you will be active during ice skating and so do not wear all your warm layers, but bring them with you. Gloves and hats are a must. Who is it for? Upon arrival at Polaris Point Horses farm, you will be given a helmet and you will meet our friendly Finnish horses. After the introduction and information on how to ride these steady horses, you are helped on the saddle and your adventure is ready to begin. This horseback ride is relaxing and quiet, we take the small trails to the woods to breathe in the clean air and admire the pristine nature around us. The ride is entirely relaxed, slow-paced, and doesn't require previous riding experience. There’s no rush or traffic, no distractions, just the hooves of the horses stepping on a trail in a tranquil rhythm as you ride your horse in a line with other members of the group, guided by a professional guide. After the tour, we return to the farm and enjoy hot drinks and refreshments together indoors while reflecting our unforgettable experience.

Embark on your first ice fishing experience with a guide. Get the best fishing gear to help you catch fish. Go ice fishing at the great Inari lake. Meet your guide and head to the fishing spots, located a few kilometers from Inari village. Ride a snowmobile and sit comfortably in the sledge for up to 4 km out to the lake ice. Your guide has all the latest ice fishing gear. Use ice fishing sonar and on a cold day, fish comfortably from inside a fishing tent. Your guide also produces some custom made ice fishing gear and ties his own fishing flies. You are in some of the best fishing hands of Lapland.

Husky Walk and Cuddles | 1h or 2h program We start at Ilonka Farm by harneshing the dogs and connecting with them, and each participant gets one dog to walk with. If you prefer walking without a dog, that’s ok. You can enjoy the walk and cuddling that way, too. For safety reasons, children always participate without a dog. It depends on the teenager, if he or she is ready to be attached to one of our beautiful dogs. You can choose between a one and two hour program. Please note that the whole program is ca 1 or 2 hours, the walk being ca 30 minutes (easy) or 60-75 minutes (medium level).

Book a tent sauna experience at Rahajärvi camp, located near the serene Lake Inari. Enjoy a relaxing sauna and ice swimming for one and a half hours in a calm, natural setting. Host up to eight guests in the custom-designed tent sauna. Additional tents can be arranged to accommodate even larger groups. The facilities include indoor hot showers and a toilet with modern conveniences. Have the ice hole prepared for you to have a refreshing dip. Enjoy optional catering and guided activities before and after your sauna experience. Reserve a self-catered open fire dining tent to be used. The camp is conveniently accessible by car, 15 minutes north from Ivalo. Alternatively, opt for a transfer service from Ivalo, Saariselkä, or Inari.

For the service, we need your accommodation name and address. We will deliver the clothes to the reception. Please return the clothes back to the reception by the end of your rental time. If your accommodation has no reception, we also need your host's name and their phone number.

Book you private transfer between Rovaniemi and Ivalo by private minibus. Perfect for families and groups - child seats are available upon request. We will agree with you pick up time and place. The road between Rovaniemi and Ivalo takes around 4 hours. There is a stop at the gas station in the middle of the journey. Our minibuses are: Mercedes Vito, VW Caravelle, Opel Vivaro, Renault Traffic. The vans can easily fit up to 8 passengers and have a large luggage compartment. Enjoy the arctic road.

Join our guides on this comprehensive winter fishing trip to Rahajärvi, Ivalo. On this trip, you get to experience traditional Lappish winter fishing methods, such as: Drilling holes to the ice (“kairaaminen”), Ice fishing (“pilkkiminen”) and Net fishing under the ice (“juomustus”). After fishing, we cook and eat our catch: the fish is as fresh as it gets! We make fire and try out different styles of cooking fish on an open fire. All necessary items for cooking and eating are provided by Xwander. Schedule and directions: We start at 10:00 from Eräsoppi / Xwander shop (address Ivalontie 12) with a car ride to the lake. Please be at the shop latest 9:45, so we have time for necessary preparations. The total duration of the trip is around 4 hours. We return to the shop between 14 – 15. We have a complimentary pick up service for Ivalo. For Inari, Nellim, Saariselkä and Kiilopää areas, please contact us ahead to book a transfer. Please note: This activity is run every Tuesday in November-April The trip is executed with a minimum of 2 participants.
