Embark on a unique wild card adventure on "The Gang Goes to South Philly: An It's Always Sunny Tour of Philadelphia." You'll not only explore iconic landmarks of TV's longest running sitcom but unearth the stories of sandwich history and Italian culture from Philadelphia's most famous neighborhood. This isn't just a TV tour; it's an exploration of South Philly's heritage, seen through the wacky lens of "It's Always Sunny." Our journey begins on the South Street. From here we'll go over the world of It's Always Sunny and it's connection to Philadelphia. From the very start, you'll understand these aren't just TV backdrops but spots where The Gang would hang out and roam. Our next stage is the Italian Market, a cultural mosaic and an often filmed spot in the series. We'll immerse ourselves in show sights but also touch on the interesting history of the market, as you absorb the sights, sounds, and smells (lots of smells) of this bustling marketplace. As we venture further south, we'll stroll past the famous cheesesteak joints, landmarks in their own right, and reveal their unique connections to the show. Deeper into South Philly, we step away from the touristy areas to enter the real Philadelphia. In this area are some of the show's iconic and less than iconic filming backdrops. We end the tour back near South Street, passing more locations on our way to the final stop. Inevitability, we encounter some real-life Philly shenanigans since the real-life Philly is not so different than the world of It's Always Sunny. Expect to see a world of Philadelphia that is both unexpected and familiar. This is more than a drive-by TV tour. It is more than a touristy tour of just the Philadelphia highlights. This was my second food tour in Philly and by far the better of the two. It really felt like we were being taken around by a friend who knew everything, and everyone related to local food and showcased real interesting stories behind the producers and vendors we had the opportunity to taste. This was definitely set away from the tourist traps of the Reading terminal market and pretzels and hoagies. Maddy did a fantastic job of bringing each business we visited to life through their history and passion and recommended a few great spots for dinner that we went to and were some of the best meals I’ve had this year! Seems like this is new on this platform so I would get in fast before they start selling out here because this is way worth it! Thank you so much again Maddy for such a great experience. We’ll be back with friends in November!

Meg was a fantastic tour guide. Loved the food and history of the Italian Market in South Philly. Everything we ate was delicious, the pace was perfect, fair amount of walking in between eating, which I like. I had not spent much time in this part of Philly, I will definitely be going back. I would highly recommend this food tour.

Maddy has curated an incredible lineup of restaurants and stops. You could be a lifelong Philadelphian and still learn something about South Philly! Totally worth the money.

The tour and Craig were great! Super conscientious of his guests and great tidbits about restaurants and area history. Will be recommending this highly to future visitors.

Tour was great! Jacqui was so nice and knowledgeable- we learned a lot. Highly recommend!
