Serence Bey Yokuşu, Beşiktaş, Istanbul. Visitor Entrance: The entrance for visitors is located at Valide Gate, at the end of Serence Bey Slope, in front of Hamidiye Mosque. Access: All areas open to visitors can be accessed with a palace ticket. To reach Yıldız Palace, you can use public transportation. The nearest tram station is in Beşiktaş, from where a short bus or taxi ride will get you there. Alternatively, it’s a pleasant stroll from the Beşiktaş waterfront.

Each building has its own charm, they all inspire the same feeling, the decorations, the details, the styles, the extravagance come together and offer the viewers an excellent picture. The description of the scenes, spent between those walls, is succinct, but complete, just enough not to distract the observer from the visual exploration of each room. The gardens are, in my view, a masterpiece, the river designed to separate the “island” from the rest of the garden is wonderful, a method of outdoor relaxation in the weather. A boat ride was missing!
