Day 1: Istanbul Airport Arrival and Transfer
Following your arrival at Istanbul Airport, meet your guide to collect your tour documents and enjoy a short briefing about the adventure to come. Enjoy an overnight stay in Istanbul with the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 2: Byzantine and Ottoman Relics
Following breakfast at your hotel, embark on a full-day city tour that focuses on the monuments of 2 great empires: the Byzantine Empire and Ottoman Empire. Go to the Hippodrome of Constantinople from the days of glory when the city was the capital of the empire. See the Obelisk of Thutmose III, brought from the Temple of Karnak in Egypt, and the Serpentine Column from Delphi, placed in the center of the Hippodrome during the reign of the emperor Constantine in the 5th century BC. Admire the gazebo-style German Fountain, constructed to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the German Emperor Wilhelm II's visit to Istanbul in 1898.

Next, go to one of the most emblematic monuments of Istanbul: the Blue Mosque. Marvel at the towering minarets and blue Iznik tiles of Istanbul’s most famous mosque, constructed in the 17th century during the rule of Ahmed I. Continue to Topkapi Palace, the imperial residence for 400 years from where the Great Ottoman Empire was ruled. Admire one of the finest examples of Ottoman architecture and its collections of porcelain, robes, weapons, shields, armor, Ottoman miniatures, and jewelry.

Cross to the magnificent Byzantine church of the Hagia Sophia ("Magna Ecclesia" or “Great Church”), built in the 4th century, and one of the finest surviving examples of Byzantine architecture left in the world. Continue to the Suleymaniye Mosque of Sultan Suleyman "The Magnificent," constructed by the Ottoman architect, Mimar Sinan. Enjoy a retail therapy break in the Grand Bazaar, the largest and oldest bazaar in the world with 61 covered streets and around 3,000 small shops. Transfer back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Full-Day City Tour and Bosporus Cruise of Two Continents
Following breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a full-day city tour that includes some of Istanbul's bazaars and markets, starting with the spice aromas of the Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar), the 2nd largest covered market after the Grand Bazaar. See all the fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, and exotic spices sold by the vendors. Then take a cruise between Europe and Asia on the Bosporus waterway. Enjoy panoramic views and photo opportunities of various Ottoman palaces and wooden villas lining the banks of the strait.

Then, visit Rumeli Fortress, built to control and protect the Bosporus in 1451 (please note that Rumeli Fortress is closed on Wednesdays). Continue to Dolmabahce Palace, constructed between 1843 and 1856 to serve as the main administrative center of the Ottoman Empire. Admire the span of the Bosporus Bridge, providing a unique chance to step from Europe to Asia in 5 minutes. Go to Camlica Hill for the best panorama of Istanbul and the Bosporus, before the transfer back to you hotel and your last overnight stay.
