The start of the tour was a little confusing. Firstly they wanted to see us an additional section of the palace (The Harem) which we did not want. Then we had a couple of false starts before we got going. The palace has 4 Sections. The guide took us to 3 of them and let us explore the 4th ourselves. There's a lot to see and he could not do it all. We looked at a number of galleries on the way back after the guide left us. The commentary was good but delivered at great speed, sometimes missing out some words so you have to pay attention. The guide was also very quick so you do need to keep up. The palace is amazing and we did not see it all. It is quite tiring. All in all: highly recommended

Nice guide, lots of historical knowledge. Spoke good english - very fast. We paid for a 75 minute tour and he thought it was 30 minutes. So after 30 minutes we had an embarrassing situation. He felt obliged to show us some more and spend more time. This meant the tour was a bit rushed when maybe it needn't have been. Amazing place though. Well worth a visit. Meeting place was difficult to pinpoint.

Our guide was fantastic, I wish I had time to do it all again…! I learned a great deal about Turkish history and the lady guide explained everything in a clear and detailed way. She made a complicated topic seem very straightforward. The palace is vast, and the tour explained the various rooms and significance of the artefacts. There were a lot of visitors and the jump the queue was a great bonus. The true value was the guide, otherwise I would have been lost not knowing where to start. Best value ever..!
