Özgür is an exceptional guide. We had a guided tour with him through the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, and the Sulemaniye Mosque, including a stroll through the grand bazaar. He offered to split our time based on our interest level across these places. Not only is he very knowledgeable in the specific history of these places, he is also well versed in the past and present events of Turkey and the whole world in general, which is very important to understand the context of the place. He could clearly and easily answer any questions we had at a level we could understand. Overall it was simply an enjoyable, educative conversation and a pleasure to experience these historic places through his guidance. Exceptional kudos since he did not take us to any tourist trap shop or force us to buy overpriced rip-offs, which has become the ugly norm on other guided tours. Only on our request he walked us through the grand bazaar and gave us practical shopping tips.
