I had the opportunity to see Istanbul during a 24 hour layover. I’m a solo female traveler from the US and I wanted to see as much as possible without wasting time getting lost or spending my limited time going somewhere that wasn’t open. This was perfect! The ride from the airport to my hotel and back was smooth. The guide was fantastic, he took me to the places I was most interested in and skipped what I wasn’t. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and the opportunity to learn about the culture by asking questions. It really felt like a friend was taking me around.

This was a fantastic layover tour and I promise you won’t find another one out there that’s more inclusive! I truly felt like I saw all of Istanbul in just a short amount of time. My guide, Berk, was phenomenal. Request him if you can! He was incredibly knowledgeable and knew the detailed history of every site we visited and he spoke excellent English! We had so much fun. There is also a lot of flexibility and when time permitted, Berk let me choose between some activities. I did a lot of comparing layover tours but this one appeared to be the best and I can safely say now that it was! It made me fall in love with Istanbul and Turkey and I will definitely be returning! Take this tour if you have a long enough layover in Istanbul. You won’t regret it!

We had a 12 hour layover in Istanbul and our tour guide was amazing and flexible. It took us about an hour to get to the city center by car (please note that the drivers are different than your tour guide so tip accordingly). It was a fully private walking tour for my group (2 females). Communication happens through WhatsApp so be sure to have that app downloaded on your phone prior to your departure. Instructions on meeting points were very clear. Overall, would highly recommend this experience!
