What to Expect
Taste the food and drinks of Turkey and Istanbul on a 4-hour culinary tour of the city center, and see some of the historic sites along the way. Visit 2 different continents in a single day, and a gourmet lunch in Asia.
Explore in a small group for a more intimate adventure and the chance to sample the delicious cuisine. Learn the religious and social history of the city between 10 or more tastings. Sample a variety of “mezes” and regional dishes on the go.
Visit the Rustem Pasha Mosque to admire its vivid Iznik tiles. Cross over to Asia for a gourmet lunch in a regional restaurant. Learn about iconic foods, such as kokoreç and baklava. Try a Turkish coffee and create your own Turkish Delight with your choice of ingredients and covering.
Go to some of the food markets to meet local food artisans and restaurant owners. Then, if you have time, extend the tour to watch a pottery demonstration and take part in a ceramics workshop.
