Experience the wonders of Pamukkale on a guided trip from Instanbul, including round-trip flight tickets and lunch. Wander around the ancient city of Hierapolis and take memorable pictures, then take a dip in the revitalizing Cleopatra Pools. This is a must-do trip during anyone’s time in Turkey. Upon arrival, meet another driver and head to the meeting point where you will meet your guide who will show you around Pamukkale and Hierapolis for the rest of the day. Pamukkale and Hierapolis are listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List as a natural site and ancient city, famous for the hot springs believed to have healing powers. The travertines are formed by a chemical reaction and subsequent precipitation of various causes and environments. Hierapolis has been a settlement of different cults and cultures throughout history, surrounded by a mix of ideas and believes as to the true history and origins of the site. Hierapolis played an important role in spreading Christianity in Anatolia, and it was the place where Phillip, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ, died. For this reason, Hierapolis became an important religious center in the 4th century A.D. The tour in Hierapolis includes the necropolis, the Gate of Domitian, Frontinus Street, the Agora, the North Byzantine Gate, the gymnasium, the Fountain of the Tritons, the Temple of Apollo, the Martyrium of St. Philip, the column church, Pluto's Gate, and more. Spend time exploring Pamukkale for another 1.5 hours, then enjoy free time to look around and take photos. If you bring your swimming clothes, you can also visit the Cleopatra Pools (extra fees apply).  After the tour, take a transfer back to the airport for your return flight to Istanbul.

Ephesus and Pamukkale: Day Trip by Plane from Istanbul

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted and brought to Ephesus to meet with your guide and take your Ancient City Tour. Ephesus is an iconic former-Greek city, built in the 10th century, famed for its temples, monuments, and theaters. Known as the commercial, religious, and social center of antiquity, this is sure to be the highlight to your whole visit to Turkey. Explore the city’s combination of Greek, Roman and Byzantine markers of civilization. Pamukkale means “cotton castle” in Turkish—due to the chemical properties of the water, pure white colored travertines and stepped water terraces have been created on the mountain’s slope, resembling piles of cotton. Visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The highlight of this site will be the Sacred Pool, which you can enter if you choose. There, shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient Roman ruins that lie beneath. You’ll also see its Necropolis, which contains 1200 gravestones, including that of Marcus Aurelius Ammianos.   After your tour, you’ll be transferred back to Denizli Airport for your 7:00 PM flight to Istanbul, and then taken back to your hotel.

Fantastic tour. No more to say. The weather was really good. The places we visited was an observatory where you can see all the scenery of city (actual city) and far away you can see the Pamukkale. We did not expected to much but the place was really good and refreshing. The city of Pamukkale was a ancient museum itself with the best scenery you could put it in your eyes. Everyplace we walked through showed beautiful landscape. Cleopatra pool was also good. After long walk, my family could take a rest and with additional charge for the pool, you can actually swim in the pool. There's a locker where you can change and take a shower (shower is open space so, it's only washing with a cold water..) Pamukkale itself was breathtaking. There's no way I can describe the experience. It's not that deep. starting from the top you can take so many good pictures.

We love the tour. Everything was fulfilled to the letter. Our guide speaks perfect Spanish, and showed a lot of knowledge what he shared with us. The hotel facing the sea, at night in Kusadasi was a pleasant surprise, the night view of the bay. And the company also helped us to make our trip to Capadoccia. We all loved it. Transportation in luxury vans. The only bad thing (and repetitive in all tours of the world), is that they make you waste time in shopping places, which are not historical and they want to force you.

Excellent service! Probably the best tour company in Turkey. Communication is on spot. Very professional and courteous. Able to cater to our needs and provide provide tours and schedules and give best advice. We will definitely use this company again as we plan to come back in the summer to see even more places. We will stay in touch. Very much appreciate all the help from the tour coordinator! Highly recommend!!

This private tour was excellent as it allowed us to visit 2 significant sites in one day. Our guide Ozlem was knowledegable and flexible. We were met door to door by driver and tour guides. I would highly recommend this if you do not have a lot of time in Turkey and yet would like to visit outside of Istanbul to see this amazing country

Beautiful places. The hardworking guide to speak Spanish. Very nice
