It was incredibly relaxing and the fact that you get to be in such an old place alone with your thoughts was pretty amazing. My favourite part was the soap bath and massage (it felt like they were pouring clouds on your body). If you are not comfortable with being naked (except for a bikini) when they massage you, it is probably not for you. Also, it lasts for less than 1.5 hour, more like an hour (I bought the full package including the massage oil and I was instructed after the shower to get changed - not to stay in the marble stone as much as I wished). The location was great and the place is easy to find either by walking towards it or catching the tram and walking a bit.

La réservation via Get Your Guide a été rapide et efficace. Nous avons payez 39€ /pers et le prix comprend le petit moment de hammam puis le massage/nettoyage au gant et à la mousse. C'est écrit durer 1,5h mais ça dure moins longtemps en vrai. Cela dit, les masseuses sont sympathiques, l'exfoliation au gant efficace et l'application de la mousse super agréable ! On se sent comme dans un nuage. Nous avons réservé sur place 1h de massage à l'huile d'olive pour 40€/pers (face Mask compris) en supplément. On peut payer par carte (en lyre) ou en cash en euros. Ça nous a fait 1400 lyre = 80€ pour ma mère et moi, 1h de massage chacune. Le hammam traditionnel est facile à trouver en suivant les indications données lors de réservation, on trouve aussi avec Maps.

This was the quintessential, old-fashion Turkish soaping, scrubbing and rinsing. A smiling lady who spoke no English was my attendant. I wore a cloth around me to enter the large room where other women were already being treated. All naked except for their paper thongs. Don’t think I would feel comfortable doing this with a friend I didn’t know well. But I enjoyed the experience and got over being totally exposed rather quickly. If you are in Istanbul, I say-Go For It!
