Full description
Admire the opulent Royal Apartments and private family bedrooms within the mansion. See the twin desks where Queen Victoria and Prince Albert worked. Explore the magnificently decorated Durbar Room. The furniture and artifacts reveal intricate details about entertainment at Osborne, from state banquets to family meals. Currently, only the lower floor of Osborne House is open for visitors to view. See where the royal children played house and tended their own gardens down at the Swiss Cottage. There's a room dressed as it was on 11th July 1861, when the children prepared afternoon tea for their parents, not long before Prince Albert's tragic death.  Stroll in the pleasure gardens, alongside historic trees, and enjoy the Victorian Walled Garden much as the royal couple did. Take a trip down to the royal family's once jealously guarded private beach, with Victoria's restored bathing machine.

Osborne House is amazing and so interesting. The grounds are wonderful and we walked for a couple of hours exploring everything there. The staff are very helpful and all were willing to share their wealth of knowledge. We had booked tickets for 1pm but on arrival were told that the queue for the house was too long so to come back later. We used this time to wonder the grounds and retuned to the queue about 2.45. It was still huge! We queued for around 45 mins before being allowed in. We had a fantastic time. Although it’s annoying having to wait, during current times they are limited on numbers entering at any time so we fully understood the reasons. A great afternoon all in all.

On the day of our visit it was VERY busy . We arrived with a ticket but still had to queue as it hadn’t been obtained through the English Heritage site . I had my 88 year old Mother in a wheelchair and I think a little more help could have been offered on arrival such as which direction to go etc . However once inside the House everyone was extremely helpful and we had a fabulous day which she thoroughly enjoyed . There were plenty of slopes although the majority of them were a bit challenging . I had to make a dash up them that was the only way to do it . Thank you though we enjoyed our visit .

Great place. But queues need better organisation. Dedicated lanes for times slots. We were booked on for 11. Queue was so long advised come bck at 12.30. Even though some was 11.30 at front of line?? But it was just as long when we came back? Quite a hike for a cup of tea to wait. Love the house. Time slots should be better organised.
