Marcus is quite possibly the best tour guide I've ever had anywhere. He was super interesting, knowledgeable, and funny! We got to see the sun through a solar telescope and then we drove to Mauna Kea for stargazing. At first, there were some clouds which made it hard to see anything, but we ended up going to a different location and waiting a bit until the clouds cleared. We got to see Jupiter and some of its moons, a galaxy, star clusters, and constellations. Marcus explained everything really clearly, and answered all our questions. On the drive back, he talked about Hawaiian history and culture. I could have listened to him talk about it for many hours more! Thank you for a really great tour!
Our guide was Marcus and he was very knowledgeable and answered a million questions about Hawaii, the culture, lore, and constellations. He was so friendly and completely prepared - he had extra jackets for my teens who did not dress warm enough and provided hot coco to attendees. The telescope was great quality, and we were able to see the full sky with very little light pollution. The evening was beautiful - my girls had never seen so many stars before!
