Trip exceeded all expectations! The sights were exceptional and we were fortunate to receive a clear, rainless day for our tour. Our driver, Thia, was knowledgeable about the geography, history and culture of Hawaii. Thia was able to answer nearly all of our 12-person group's many questions. She also made the 11-hour trip enjoyable by factoring in timely humor. This trip is highly recommended. Hint: try and take it early on in your stay, so if there is something you want to check out closer after the tour, then you can.
This was the most amazing tour. I loved every moment of it, but I think one of the reasons it was so good was our driver/guide Kawika. His knowledge of the history of Hawaii, the geology of the big island, Hawaiian folklore and big island plant & bird life was outstanding and I learnt so many amazing and interesting facts. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Simply fantastic.
