Explore Tortuga Island on a guided tour with hotel pickup and drop-off included. Go on a quick tour of the other islands in a boat, then arrive at Tortuga Island. Go snorkeling or swimming, and eat breakfast on the beach. Opt to do other activities, such as renting a jet ski. Tuck into lunch. Begin your tour by getting picked up in an air-conditioned vehicle directly from your hotel in either Heredia, San José, or Alajuela. Once you arrive at the harbor, hop into your speedboat and set sail on your adventure. Listen to your guide tell you about the local area and take in the views. Go on a tour of the Gulf of Nicoya, and see islands such as San Lucas, Isla Cedros, and Jesusita. Use the opportunity to take photos. Along the way, keep an eye out for bottlenose dolphins that are residents of Puntarenas. See if you can spot whales or turtles, and stop to observe them. Upon arrival at the island, be provided with equipment to go snorkeling, as well as instructions on how to use them. Go searching for exotic and colorful fish underwater. Spend time relaxing on the white sand in the shade of palm trees. Opt to participate in other activities at an extra cost. Rent a jet ski or a kayak, or go paddleboarding. After you have explored the island, head back for lunch on the beach. Enjoy cold drinks and a coffee along with it. Hop back in the boat to be taken back to your hotel at the end of the day.

Discover the idyllic Tortuga Island on a day tour from San José. Enjoy a fresh lunch on the beach, keep an eye out for dolphins as you cruise, snorkel in the clear water, and relax in the sun. Either meet your driver in San José or make your own way to the dock in Puntarenas. If you choose the option with transportation from San José, stop along the way to purchase breakfast or a snack. In Puntarenas, board a fast boat and cruise to Tortuga Island. During the hour-long boat ride, keep your eyes peeled for a variety of birds, dolphins, sea turtles, and whales. When you arrive at the island, get your snorkeling gear and dive into the crystal-clear water. For about 30-40 minutes, snorkel with diverse and colorful tropical fish around the island. After you dry off, take some time to explore the island on foot at your own pace. As you explore, you can choose to indulge in extra activities (not included), like jet skiing, riding in a banana boat, paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking to a viewpoint, or enjoying a drink at a beach bar. During the day, enjoy a selection of tropical fruits, a delicious lunch, and refreshing soft drinks with your guide. After you've thoroughly explored the island, head back to Puntarenas. There, you can freshen up with the showers before returning to San José.

As a special treat, we will take you to the negritos Island wildlife refuge, island that is habited by spider monkeys. See dolphins and monkeys in their natural hábitat on way the island. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a private beach club and do snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters on this day trip from Puntarenas. Your day will start with a nice boat ride from +/- 20 minutes leaving from Playa Organos de Paquera, we will pass Playa Los Muertos, visit a rock called Arco Iris (Rainbow Rock) and go around Isla Tortuga. From there we will go to the group of Islands called Morteros for some snorkeling (+/- 45 minutes). The volcanic rock reef is surrounded by crystalline waters and famous for the large number of colorful fish and some corals. Changing your snorkeling mask for the sunglasses again, we are heading to the island itself and will visit Playa Tropical, this is the non-crowded beach. On the Island you can enjoy a swim in the warm waters, stroll along the sugary white sandy beach, hike the trail to the top of the island (extra fee charged by Tortuga Island) or relax in the shadow of a swaying palm tree. We will serve you some fresh fruits, drinks and a sandwich for lunch (ham/cheese or vegetarian). Around 2pm we hit back to Playa Organos and will arrive there around 2.30pm. Here our tour ends, you are more then welcome to enjoy the rest of the day on this beach, there are some places o get something to eat our drink.

The tour was really nice and our guide as well, we got to spend 5 hours on the island after seeing many dolphins on the way and also got to see a beautiful sunset on the way back! Although the snorkelling part was not the best as the water is not clear but you can see a few fishes:)

Wonderful trip with beautiful views. You could do Kayaking and a couple of things o. The island and have a beautiful view on the Pacific Ocean.
