Full description

Distillerie Aragonesi is the first distillery in Ischia. It is an open space that gives our guests the chance to experience the essence of the island, expressed through the on-site artisanal production of unique liqueurs and spirits, obtained from local fruits. Located in beautiful Ischia Ponte, at the foot of the Aragonese Castle, the distillery merges with the historic village thanks to the open space production area and the copper pot still, visible from the street. The tours are designed to give a cultural and artisanal insight into local production techniques, and to offer the opportunity to taste rediscovered flavours of spirits, paired with traditional pastries.

This project aims to rescue traditional distilling techniques and the cultural heritage of liqueurs made from Mediterranean fruits. This is done to perfection, by not just explaining in depth the history and process, but also by pairing these products with impeccable and fresh local pastry delicacies. It is a MUST for foodies looking to expand their palates.

A wonderful and interesting journey through the background and processes behind Distillerie Aragonesi's delicious products! Alessandro and Anna were super friendly and the care they put into making the liqueurs is very evident. We learnt a lot about the history of Ischia and how they incorporated local traditions into their processes. A definite must-try!
