The tour is very well organized. The trip to the port in Nanay is in an open "chicken bus." To get to the boat you fly through a poor neighborhood. The two-hour boat trip on the Amazon to the Capinuri Lodge is entertaining. There is a stop at a stall belonging to the indigenous Yama tribe. Despite the commercial interest, it is quite interesting. The Capinuri Lodge is very basic accommodation. There are mosquito nets, cold water and electricity for a few hours when the generator is running. You can get a fan for your room, but of course it won't work at night without electricity. It is 30'C with 100% humidity. Starlink Internet works well when the electricity is on. We couldn't sleep the first night because the electricity was being used for an incredibly loud music box until 1 a.m. (complaining didn't help). Our guide Alan made up for the lodge's shortcomings with fantastic tours through the forest. Overall, worthwhile.

The night hike in the Amazon jungle was amazing! The animal shelter and Monkey Island were also wonderful experiences. The lodge was perfect, considering it is located in the Amazon, offering Wi-Fi, a bar, and three meals a day. The rooms were decent, each with its own bathroom. The only downside was that there was no hot water. Additionally, our room didn’t have electricity because it was newly built, but all the other rooms had power.

Our guide Julio was very knowledgeable. He made sure we were busy with all the activities for the whole 3 days, and having a great experience on the jungle tour. The lodge is very simple but adequate. Food was healthy and delicious. The cook kindly considered the 2 vegetarians and 1 vegan in our party of 4. Highlights were jungle walks to find animals and insects, fishing and swimming in the Amazon River.

I had a great say at the Amazonas river and jungle. Julio was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide and took the time to accommodate to my interests. We saw a lot of wild life and had amazing food at one of the jungle community. Overall a great day to immerse to Iquitos.
