Full description
Depart Inverness and travel South, hugging the shoreline of Loch Ness to Invermoriston. Stop for a short break at Loch Ness which is 24 miles long, over 700ft deep and is most famous for its sightings of the Loch Ness monster. After Loch Ness, travel on to the picturesque Eilean Donan Castle which is situated on its own island at the head of Loch Duic and is one of Scotland’s most photographed castles. Take time here to explore the Castle and its atmospheric surroundings. Continue your journey to the Isle of Skye, passing over the Skye Bridge and on to the small village of Portree for a lunchtime stop. Portree, although a small harbor village, is the capital of Skye, and is surrounded by rocky cliffs and rolling hills. Its beautiful surroundings make it a perfect stop to enjoy lunch and views of the boats. Moving on, see various points of interest in Skye including Kilt Rock, Lealt Falls, the Old Man of Storr and perhaps Strome Viewpoint. Continue homeward bound to Inverness, where your Isle of Skye day tour ends.

This was by far the best tour we had in Scotland, and probably in the rest of the world, and mainly because of our excuisite guide, Chris from the Timberbush Tours. We are grateful for all the information, the stories, the history and the tales, the fables. Such a wonderful experience, I could do it again any time! The amazing sights would not have any meaning without Chros' great talent and commitment to share his knowledge his travel groups. For us it was chance to meet him, but please do search and ask for Chris, you will be enriched by this experience! You made us love Scotkand and Scots even more! A big thank you!

The tour was excellent from start to finish. The itinerary was varied and covered history and amazing scenery. The bus was very comfortable and we could see all around us. There were plenty of rest room stops and opportunities for buying refreshments and lunch with great advice about where to eat from the guide. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our driver guide Ryann was so awesome! Very knowledgeable of the Scottish history! Enjoyed all the true stories!! Loved that he spoke Gaelic and he was so informative! The only reason i didn’t give a 5 star is because it was a long exhausting day! Lots of stops and sites but you get to see everything!
