Spent a beautiful Saturday afternoon snowshoeing for the first time! There were three different groups on the tour and Alexei was accommodating to all of us. There was ample time for photos, never felt rushed, and we were able to enjoy the experience. It was a sunny day, so having layers were essential - shedded layers at the start and upon return in the shade they were back on. His instructions were clear and we had a lot of fun. I had no idea we would visit a bird sanctuary in the middle of the mountain.

The Wetterhorn Snowshoe Tour is an easy-moderate trail with impressive views. Beginning on the outskirts of the picturesque mountain village Grindelwald, the marked route gently climbs through the foothills of the towering Wetterhorn towards Grosse Scheidegg. Views of the Upper Grindelwald Glacier, First ski resort, and Schwarzhorn greet you as you hike through alpine meadows and snow-covered forests. Visit the Alpine Bird Park while the world-famous Eiger north face and the Wetterhorn loom overhead. This round trip loops back down to the Wetterhorn carpark, completing an unforgettable winter experience.

I loved all of the views and being in the snow. only suggestion is to have the guide slow down a little as it felt a lot harder than just a leisurely stroll as we weren't used to that altitude. but overall it was a great experience. Highly recommend some nice warm wool socks to keep the toes warm as you'll need them on the way down. Thank you Alan for such a great time and all the stories about the area.
