Overview
Enjoy a ride on the Nordkette cable car from the center of Innsbruck to the heights of the Alpine terrain. Admire the breathtaking mountain views with a ticket for the mountain cable car, or select one of the fantastic combo tickets.
What to Expect
The journey begins at 560 meters above sea level, not far from the heart of Innsbruck's old town with its historical buildings and the world-renowned "Goldenes Dachl" (Golden Roof). Planned and designed by star architect Zaha Hadid, the Hungerburg funicular with its unique stations sets new standards in international architecture. As your journey with the panoramic cable car continues along Seegrube and Hafelekar, the picture changes: your attention will now be caught by the painstakingly renovated station building, which was designed by the Tyrolese architect Franz Baumann.

As you continue the ascent, the bustle of the town is replaced with the peace and beauty of the natural surroundings. All that remains is the spectacular view of Innsbruck, which renders the bustle of the city a distant memory by day and shimmers like a sea of lights by night.

After reaching the upper station at 2,256 meters above sea level, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the city of Innsbruck on the one side and the unforgettable vista of untouched, pristine nature on the other. A visit to the Nordkette, set between the mountain range and the town, promises to be an unforgettable experience. Here you can enjoy a unique combination of relaxation, the wonder of nature, and modern architecture.

You can combine your ticket for the Nordkette cable car with various attractions. Please select your preferred combo ticket when booking.

Combo Ticket: Alpine Zoo
Visit Europe’s highest zoo (750 meters), located at the foot of the Nordkette, right above the capital city of Tyrol. Here you can admire the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. Experience the animal world in the Alps with more than 2,000 animals and 150 species. What is special about the Alpine Zoo is the way it presents Alpine life forms from the past and present.

The Alpine Zoo is the world's only themed zoo of its kind that is home to such a complete collection of European Alpine creatures, spanning across land animals, birds, and fish.
