Get an idea of how Jewish people lived in Spain in the medieval times. Begin by meeting your guide at the Monumento a la Inmaculada Concepción. Listen to a brief introduction, and then set off on your journey. Stroll through charming streets and picturesque alleys. The small size group (max. 10 guests) will allow you to ask your questions, that we'll be happy to answer in a friendly environment. Our walk will pass through some of the most iconic sites inside the former Jewish Quarter such us Plaza de Doña Elvira or el Callejón del Agua where we'll tell you everything about the history and specific anecdotes. We will also go off the beaten path and will discover hidden physical remains of the former Jewish quarter. With us you'll be able to immerse in the past of the Jews who lived in Spain and will see how the different cultures have left their legacy present nowadays. After about 1.5 hours around the area our walk will finish at the surroundings of the church of Santa Maria la Blanca.

We’ll meet around the Cathedral to start our walking tour. With us, you will be able to discover part of the history of our city and its unique places inside the former Jewish quarter and the Murillo Gardens as well as its legends and main characters. Starting from the Plaza del Triunfo our walk will also help us to discover the history of the Alcazar, the Royal Palace. The white houses, narrow streets, traditional patios, and flowered balconies make to the visitors of this location feel the real Andalusian atmosphere. We will also go through one of the most famous streets of the neighborhood, El callejón del Agua, which separates the walls of the Royal Palace from this area. By the name of some of these streets and lanes we will see how time has not affected this special site. Afterward, we will head to one of the best local food restaurants inside this quarter, where we will have the chance of sharing an assortment of tapas and Spanish wines and get to know each other a little bit more. The meal will consist of 3 courses of traditional Andalusian food, usually combining veggies with meats and/or fish dishes (i.e. salmorejo, croquetas, oxtail, spinach with chickpeas, pisto, pork cheeks, aubergines, anchovies, calamari, gazpacho, mushrooms). The menu will be different for each session combining 3 typical dishes. *If you have any food allergy and/or intollerance please advise at the time of booking, we will inform the restaurant accordingly. The meal will also include 2 drinks per person followed by a local liquor for a toast. This will be the end of our experience, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do! Please note that the historical walking tour will be around an hour and 45 minutes while the whole experience time will be about 3 hours. Next April, the IV International Francisco Correa de Arauxo Organ Cycle arrives once again at Los Venerables. A unique experience of baroque music in an emblematic environment of the city, the Hospital de los Venerables Sacerdotes in the wonderful Sevillian neighborhood of Santa Cruz, and organized by our tenured organist Susana G. Lastra. Musicians from different locations will meet again in our baroque church to play their music through the Grenzing organ, made in 1991 by the German master organ builder Gerard Grenzing especially for this monument. The dates of the acclaimed concerts are as follows: April 4: Susana G. Lastra and Joseph Lia (Spain and Malta) April 5: Johannes Skudlik (Germany) April 11th: Ferruccio Bartoletti (Italy) April 12: Benantzi Bilbao (Spain) The concerts start at 20:00h.
