What People Are Saying About Imlil
We had a great time with my friends trekking around the Atlas Mountains. The view of the mountains while we were having lunch was breathtaking. Our guide was very friendly and the pickup on time. Also a very new and confortable van. I highly recommend this tour.
We were with 3 persons, one mother with two daughters. We were picked up at our hotel an the driver drove us relaxed to the mountains. We stopped a view times to make a photo and we have seen how the women in a lovely place made there argan oil. After that, we met our most best guide in years who told us so much great information about the berbers and his berber family who lives here. My daugther from 22 and the guide tolked about every thing in live, becouse we we wanted to know the difference between us. It was an open and instructive conversation. The lovely lunch was in the most beautiful place to be.
My family and I booked this day trip with a group of friends and it was the highlight of our trip. From the driver (Aziz) who picked us up, to the local guide (Rhajid) who toured with us we had a wonderful day. We ended our hike with a lunch on the roof top with breathtaking views of the Atlas mountains. I would recommend this trip to absolutely anyone. The process was seamless and the entire trip was very flexible, in fact they even accommodated for two groups (all ages from 8 up) one group whom did not wish to hike much. We would certainly book this again!
Our guide Lahsone (apologies if I have not spelt this correctly) was very polite, informative and friendly. We travelled approx 1.5 hours from our hotel in Marrakech to the High Atlas Mountains. We felt safe in the vehicle and stopped at a Argan oil co-operative on the way. When we arrived at the Imjil valley we had some nice mint tea before trekking up to a village where there were fantastic views of Mount Toubkal. We continued on the trails for a couple of miles to arrive in a traditional berber mountain village, where we sat on a roof-top terrace with the most amazing mountain views. We were served with a delicious meal, a traditional salad and bread, followed by a tagine with lamb meatballs and onions and some yoghurt and fruit. We decided to skip the camel ride but this was available to us on the return journey had we wanted to do it, in a nice area by the river with views of the mountains. In summary, a nice trip, friendly guide and good value - recommended!
