Throughout the drive, admire stunning views of the surrounding landscapes as well as a glimpse of local villages along the valley. Arrive at Imlil and meet your trekking crew for the trip, then enjoy a refreshing mint tea to set you up for a day of exploring. With your guides, head out towards Azzaden Valley via the Tizi Mzik pass where you can marvel at panoramic views over the valley as well as several neighboring Atlas peaks. Lunch is served at the top of the pass, so you can admire the views while you eat, then continue down the valley through the Juniper Forest to arrive at Tizi Oussem village. Spend the night at this traditional Berber site, meet the locals and learn about their culture and way of life. Enjoy a delicious and authentic tagine dinner surrounded by the peaceful tranquility of the mountains. After breakfast on day 2, soak up the sunshine that lights up this colorful valley before heading out towards Id Issa village. Spend some time exploring then trek to Tizi Oudid mountain pass walking through Matat village along the way. Arrive at a walnut grove and enjoy a relaxing lunch next to the river. Our guide Latzan made this a great experience. There was a real diversity in the views and landscapes during the hike, from green terraces to snow-capped mountains to cool streams and river. The walking was difficult enough to be interesting. Walking through Berber villages and seeing the homes and people was a highlight. Our cook made delicious meals everyday.

It started badly and turned out a really nice experience. After only 45min we stopped both at a pottery seller and an argan oil producer where we had to listen to a sales presentation for 30min. When we finally arrived in Imlil we met our guide Abdul and the muleteer Mohammed and the adventure began. We hiked both days around 4 hours with wonderful views over the valleys and through little villages. Mohammed was cooking lunch and dinner from what he brought on the mule Jaqueline and they were one of the best meals we had in Morocco. Also the house we stayed in for the night was nice. They are still building some areas so it was not fully finished but still very recommendable. Special thanks to Abdul! He was a friendly, relaxed person who told us many things about the valleys, the villages, the people and culture. Sometimes we could also just quietly walk with him for a while which we appreciated.

Great experience in the mountains. The hiking is very well prepared by the local guide Lhcen Zin who, on top of being very pleasant and friendly, brought us to beautiful places with lovely landscapes and authentic Berber villages. The food is also well cooked and the night stay very comfortable.
