Depart from Marrakech and enjoy a guided day trip through the High Atlas Mountains to learn more about Berber culture and traditions. On your way, pass through the town of Tahnaout. Stop at an Argan Oil Cooperative to learn how women of the cooperative turn the Argan nut into many different Argan oil-based products which Morocco is famous for.  Continue on through Asni where, on Saturdays, a traditional Berber Souk and market can be visited. Once you arrive in Imlil, enjoy a welcome glass of mint tea and meet your guide before commencing your tour of the local area. Your guide will help you decide on the length of your tour (you can choose between 1 and 3 hours). Make your way to the largest and highest village in Imlil Valley. Your journey will take you past waterfalls and the hamlets of Ait Mizan, Targa, and Imoula. Following a pickup from your hotel at 9 AM, start your journey toward Imlil village and the High Atlas Mountains. On your way, you will pass through the town of Tahnaout. Before reaching the village, embark on a 1-hour camel ride and enjoy a cup of mint tea. Start your day with pickup in Marrakesh at 9:00 AM. Your first stop is the Atlas Mountains. Visit a traditional Berber market on the way and an Argan oil co-op. From Marakkesh, you’ll arrive at Imlil. From there, you'll head to the highest and largest village in Imlil Valley, Armed. Either choose to walk to Armed, or you go by camel. See the waterfalls, as well as the hamlets of Ait Mizan, Targa, and Imoula. The High Atlas Mountains are only a little more than an hour drive from Marrakech. Make a trip to the Berber villages & valleys “and you will meet a new world”. As there is a way of a difference between Europe and Marrakesh, there is also a way of a difference between the busy and big city of Marrakesh and the small, tiny and remote Berber villages surrounded by huge mountains and beautiful nature. With a private transfer from Marrakech on a beautiful road through the mountains (with photo stops) we take you to the mountain village of Imlil (1740m.). In the middle of the colourful and rugged mountains, you can take a good look around. Optionally you make a nice walk through the small Berber villages around Imlil with a local guide who shows you the best views and tells about life in the mountains, the culture and traditions of the Berber people. Including is a delicious lunch in a traditional Berber home. To meet the local people and their traditions. On their rooftop terrace you can have some nice views too. At the end of the afternoon you will be brought back with a private transfer to Marrakech. On the road we will make a last stop to give you the feeling of ancient times when transport was still with camel. This 30 minutes camel ride is included in the trip!

We had a great family day in the Agafay desert, camel ride, culture discovery, argan oil co-op and hiking in the Atlas Mountains. A delicious chicken tagine to fill us up for lunch! All these activities accompanied by a great guide: Marwan who was very attentive, friendly and attentive. We liked his humorous touch. Thanks !

Absolutely amazing experience, the tour was really good value as we got to see and do so many different things and the guides were kind, fun and really dedicated to making sure we were enjoying ourselves. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful tour, not very large group, excellent organization. Not having much time available, we entrusted ourselves to a tour and, in doing so, we were able to see many interesting landscapes and have beautiful experiences.
