After meeting your guide, you will head to Imjingak Park. During the journey, you will hear engaging and informative stories about the Korean War. Imjingak Park, located 7 kilometers from the Military Demarcation Line, is a historically significant site related to the Korean War. Highlights of the park include the Mangbaedan Altar and the Bridge of Freedom. You will also have the opportunity to visit Dokgae Bridge, which was destroyed during the Korean War and later reconstructed. Next, you will explore the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel. This tunnel stretches 1,635 meters in length, measures 2 meters in width and height, and is located approximately 52 kilometers from Seoul. At Dora Observatory, you can enjoy panoramic views of North Korea and various key locations. On clear days, you may even catch a glimpse of North Korean residents going about their daily lives. After a short break at Imjingak, we will proceed to the Red Suspension Bridge, located in Mount Gamak. This area is also historically significant as the site of a heroic battle fought by British troops during the Korean War. The tour concludes with a drop-off at either City Hall Station or the Myeongdong area, depending on your preference. *Selecting the Shooting Range add-on includes a visit to a Myeongdong shooting range after the main tour, where you can experience pistol shooting. Original DMZ Tour: Tuesday to Sunday Enjoy access to Imjingak Park, where you can see the Bridge of Freedom, then explore the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, an incomplete passage built by North Korea beneath the DMZ. Back on the surface, ascend Mount Dora to visit the Dora Observatory, offering panoramic views across the border. Take in the view of the 2.4-mile-wide (4 km) DMZ that has divided the Korean Peninsula since 1953. Make a stop at Unification Village, located near the DMZ in South Korea. Browse a range of souvenirs and items symbolizing peace and reconciliation — and sometimes, even products from North Korea. Choose the perfect mementos or snacks before heading back to Seoul. ②. DMZ Tour & Gamaksan Suspension Bridge: Tuesday to Sunday This itinerary includes the complete DMZ tour along with an additional stop at the Gamaksan Suspension Bridge, the site of a heroic battle fought by British troops during the Korean War. ③. DMZ Tour (2nd Tunnel): Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays The 2nd Tunnel Tour includes visits to the 2nd Tunnel, Cheorwon Peace Observatory, Woljeong-ri Station, and the UNESCO-designated Hantan River. Lunchtime (at your own expense) is provided in the area near the 2nd Tunnel. From April to November, you can explore the Hantan River Cliffside Path, while from December to February, the Hantan River Water Road is available. The final destination of the tour is the former Korean Workers' Party Headquarters. ④. Aegibong Observatory (Starbucks) Tour: Except on Saturdays Discover the only Starbucks inside the Civilian Control Zone, located at Aegibong Peace Ecopark and Jogang Observatory—only 1.4 km from North Korea. Aegibong is a place of deep historical meaning. After the Korean War, many displaced people came here to glimpse their lost hometowns across the border. Today, it’s also a unique destination where you can sip coffee while enjoying one of the closest views into North Korea. The original observatory, built in 1978, was replaced by the modern Jogang Observatory, offering stunning, direct views of the North. • Arrival time in Seoul may vary depending on the number of participants and traffic conditions on the day. • The Shooting Range (Add-on), you will visit the shooting range in Myeongdong after the main tour and have the opportunity to experience pistol shooting firsthand. Available over 14 years old • Please note that the Peace Gondola is not equipped with air conditioning and may overheat during hot summer days. At the North Korea Experience hall, you can meet a real North Korean Defector and learn more about North Korea. This Experience is only available with us. (Exclusive experience with Seoul Ctiy Tour.) Meet your friendly and knowledgeable tour guide in the morning at the meeting place you chose. Head to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and see the strip of land between North and South Korea that symbolizes a decades-long conflict and an important chapter of world history. Start your tour at Imjingpak Park, situated only 7 km from the Demarcation Line, a tribute to the Korean War. Visit its observatory, monuments, and the Freedom Bridge, which was used to transport 13,000 prisoners home after the war. Continue to the Third Infiltration Tunnel, discovered in 1978, and witness an incomplete tunnel built by North Korea into the South that was denounced by the UN. Descend into history at the Dora Observatory and see into North Korea. Lastly, head to Dorasan Station, the last station before the DMZ and symbolic of the hope of reunification. (Dorasan station is temporarily closed by the military). Be dropped off at the City Hall in Seoul after the tour. If you chose the with suspension bridge option, we will visit the suspension bridge and see the beautiful view as well.
