What People Are Saying About Ile-de-France
Instructions to venue very easy to follow. Nice boat and commentator, very informative.
Booked for priority access to the Eiffel Tower for the 2nd year running. Guides were exactly where we expected to meet and after a short informative talk by them, we were taken straight to the entrance and shown to the lift without any long queuing.
After a long day of walking around climbing stairs and catching the metro in 30 degree blazing heat with no shade anywhere the river cruise was the perfect way to end the day.I was travelling with my 16yr old son and we were lucky in that it was still warm when we joined the queue just after 9pm. We were on the boat by 9.20pm and found a seat on a bench upstairs, there is the option to sit inside the boat and there are headphones which give a commentary in most languages explaining the sights which would have been useful but you would not get the same atmosphere we had sitting on top.Having done a guided tour of the Eiffel Tower (also through GetYourGuide) earlier we already had an idea of the landmarks and it was fun trying to figure out which was which from a different angle!I would definitely recommend going later in the evening and making it the last activity of the day as Paris is even more beautiful at night and it's a fun way to spend an hour that doesn't kill your feet!
The boat trip was lovely and very easy to board and disembark. The absolute highlight of our day however was the amazing knowledge and courtesy of our guide Rustem, who drove us there. He really excelled in the way he told us about Paris and made our time here very special. Our best memories of Paris will be an echo of his wonderfully lyrical English and he should be awarded graciously for his great contribution to tourism. Thank you.
It's great to see Paris by day and by night on the Seine. Also, time it the twinkling of the Eiffel Tower. Its awesome!
