Full description

Climb aboard a traditional Icelandic oak boat and experience a traditional whale watching tour from Europe's whale watching capital at Húsavík. Keep warm and dry with the use of high-quality overalls and raincoats.

Sail out into the bay and prepare to be captivated by the work of Mother Nature. Your specialized guide will give a safety demonstration on board the boat and then feed you live commentary on all the sights you will encounter. Skjálfandi Bay is known for its rich wildlife, including numerous types, shapes and sizes of whale. Keep a look out for the acrobatic humpback whales and giant blue whales. This is wild nature and therefore unpredictable, but your chances of seeing whales in their natural environment is very high. Sail back to Húsavík harbor and enjoy the stunning scenery.

Trip did take out of harbor ca 8 min, we got a lot of time spending with the wales. Security was taken very serious, all personnel acted very professional and efficient. The Captain of the boat did always care not to distrube the wales, the guide was giving very helpful information. Would do it again - fully recommended.

It's expensive, of course, but the fun is worth it. If you get seasick easily, you should take an appropriate pill beforehand. Overweight people should be prepared for the fact that the mandatory protective suit is far too small (2XL). I didn't understand the guide a bit acoustically at the bow.

Wonderful! We were lucky enough to see a whale jump in its entirety above the sea, a magical experience! On the other hand, rough seas, when the boat is stationary, it shakes quite a bit but no regrets, it's worth smearing. The crew at the top, and we were not cold for a single moment, the combination that is provided is thick.
