The team from North Sailing informed us that the whale sightings in Húsavík had been unusually low, including the offer to switch to a location like Árskógssandur with a higher percentage of seeing marine life. We appreciated the offer and accepted it. During the tour the guide was very friendly and did his best to find a whale. We got lucky and saw one a couple of times.

We booked the tour from Húsavík and the day before the tour we got an email that the weather conditions aren't good. But we could reschedule our tour to Árskógssandur without any issue. The customer service was great. The tour guide was also great and we were able to see a whale even though it wasn't the best season to go whale watching. The humpback whale didn't have a name yet and my girlfriend got to name him because she came up with a funny name - Forest Hump. Overall I would highly recommend this tour!
