Full description
The original whale watching tour is now available carbon neutral. The local tour operator has adopted an active environmental policy based on the idea of sustainable development. In 2015, it became the first whale watching company in the world to offer carbon neutral whale watching. In cooperation with some other actors, a unique hybrid propulsion system that allows running the ship on renewable energy instead of fossil fuel has been developed.  Experience the tour on a carbon neutral boat and discover the magnificent nature of Skjálfandi Bay observing whales, dolphins and seabirds in their natural habitat. Enjoy smooth sailing and treat yourself to a cup of hot cocoa and cinnamon buns. Join the tour and enjoy an authentic wildlife adventure with the pioneers of whale watching in Iceland.

Great tour! We even saw the rare Northern Bottlenose Whales (mother and child). A unique experience. Since the tour providers (boats) are networked with each other, they let each other know when whales could be seen at one point. This increases the probability that you actually see whales. The guides were able to tell you a lot about the different types of waals and we kept looking for waals until the last minute. You also get a suit beforehand that protects you from wind and water, so I didn't even need my winter coat. At the end there were cinnamon rolls and hot cocoa on board. Clear recommendation for this tour!

We were really lucky on our whale watching tour. We started from Husavik with calm water and clear blue skies. Arrived at the starting point we were also lucky enough to see whales, so it was a successful event for us. On the way back to the port we had cocoa and a cinnamon roll. We also found the trip with the eco-friendly boat very nice, because you didn't have any disturbing engine noises, just heard the water, a very nice experience that we can only recommend.

We had a beautiful day of calm sea and sun that allowed us to spot dolphins and a whale. We were lucky and it was beautiful. The guide is a well-trained and kind marine biologist like the rest of the staff of the fishing boat who, upon arrival, gives you the protective gear of a sailor, which is then made very useful. We recommend it. It is a wonderful activity, even if due to a breakdown we could not go on the zero-emission boat. Finally, they hand out hot chocolate and cinnamon sweets.
