We had an amazing day! we were picked up on time, by a friendly driver and a new and fine van/bus. We were able to have some sleep which was nice. Our guide Nana was the best, she was funny, punctual, knew a lot about egypt and the history and gave us good tips and trucks! besides she was a bundle of Joy, we loved it! we first went to karnak which was beautiful! then we took a boat tour on the nile, very nice (10 euro's pp,) and we had a good and taste lunch close to the river. a Afterwards we saw some ancient places and went to the valley of the kings, which was amazing to see! then for the last stop we stopped at the temple of hatshemtut, good last egyptian stop! we also made a quick stop at a place where you can buy stone souvenirs (you have to negociate the price). then we went home. Nana also gave us some small snacks. we really recommend FTS travels and this tour. we also did a snorkeling tour with FTS which was just as good!

It's a (very) long day to do the trip to Luxor from Hurghada: we were picked up punctually at 4:30 and were dropped back at our hotel at 9:30, so a 17-hour day... We knew that would be the case and decided it would be worth it for the chance to see a few of Luxor's highlights. The drivers did a great job getting us there and back, Nana was a very informative and entertaining guide and the sites we visited (Karnak temple complex, Valley of the Kings, Colossi of Memnon and Temple of Hapshepsut) were very impressive and well worth the trip. We paid for the Tutankhamun tomb ticket in advance but could have got that more cheaply on the day. The day was well planned to maximise the time in Luxor and the trip was well worth doing, with a good lunch included, water and snacks, and a short (optional extra) Nile boat trip. Probably the only improvement could have been more leg room on the minibus, on which we spent a significant part of the day.

Take a day excursion from Hurghada to see some of Egypt's finest historic sites in the Luxor Valley. After pickup from your hotel, drive to Luxor to visit the most famous monuments in Egypt, including the Temple of Karnak. Relax over lunch at a local restaurant, then Take Optional felucca ride, a traditional Egyptian sailing boat, to cross over the Nile River to the opposite bank. See the impressive Colossi of Memnon, the last remnants of the Temple of Amenophis III. Be enthralled by the architecture of the Valley of the Kings, and visit the temple of Hatshepsut, one of the female rulers of Ancient Egypt. After finishing your program in this historical city, our transportation will take you back to the hotel in Hurghada.   • The journey from Hurghada to Luxor is around 5 hours by minibus. It is recommended that you bring a book or prepare some music with you for the long ride.
  • If you plan to stay in Luxor and don't come back to Hurghada, you need to choose the option (Shared Group with Entry Fees, One Way Transfer to Luxor)
  • Please provide your hotel room number as this is required by the Egyptian government regarding the COVID-19 protocol. If you do not yet know please put N/A and let the local partner know via email or WhatsApp once you do.

Our guide, Nana, was truly amazing. She shared so many fascinating stories about Ancient Egypt, bringing the history to life in a way that made the experience unforgettable. We visited the stunning Karnak Temple, the awe-inspiring Valley of the Kings (where we explored 3 incredible tombs), and the impressive Temple of Hatshepsut. Each site was more breathtaking than the last. One of the highlights of the trip was a 30-minute boat cruise on the Nile, which was both relaxing and scenic. We also had a lovely lunch at a buffet restaurant on the other side of Luxor, offering delicious food and great views. This trip is an absolute must-do for anyone visiting Egypt. The only downside was the long drive from Hurghada to Luxor, which takes about 5 hours with a 15-20 minute stop, and the return journey takes about 4 hours. Despite the long travel time, I was delighted by everything I saw in Luxor, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the wonders of Ancient Egypt!
