Overall a really nice day! Total time was from 8 am to 3 pm (including pick-up and drop off at the hotel). First we went to an amazing snorkeling place! Fish and corals full of diverse colors and the reef was truly amazing (about 15 m high). After that we searched the area for dolphins and finally made it to see 2 of them. They were really beautiful. Unfortunately swimming with them seems more like a job for pros, it's impossible to keep up with their speed if you're not a pro swimmer. None from the group went for it, except one guy from the crew who obviously knew what he was doing and managed to swim relatively near to them for about 10 minutes (by swimming full speed the entire time). So if you imagine taking a relaxing bath with dolphins, forget about it. Then we went to the 2nd snorkeling place which was good as well, but not as amazing as the first one. Those who wanted could ride the sofa and banana. Then we sailed back in a slow pace. The crew was very nice the entire time.
I went from Hurghada to Luxor during the Covid-19 Pandemic in December 2020 (2tourists,1 driver,1guide). All in all I was very happy that I could do this trip. However, there are some things you should be aware of before choosing to go with this organization. Pick up 05:30am +drop at 21:00pm. The car was very very small and uncomfortable for 4 people and a ride of 4h per way! I would have expected a more comfortable car for this price. you spend at least 10hours in the car. We added a boat trip in Luxor on the Nile river (17€ per person for 30min), which was absolutely overpriced! I read online that ppl pay 10€ normally but the guide asked us to pay 17€ per Person and didn't negotiate. Do not book a boat-trip, only choose to use the boat as a ferry to cross the river to have lunch on the other side. The guide tries to explain everything but sometimes he does not have the correct facts, which is a bit sad. But he was entertaining, which is nice. Have fun and take care!
Good drivers, the guide was also very open and provided useful information. The mini bus is in a very good condition and was very clean. Even the capacity for was about 15, we were only 6 tourists. Booked the trip one day before. Communication with the travel agent was as well very good. The total value of the additional entries was 580 egipt pounds(Karnak, Valley of the kings and hatshepsut). Is better to have local money and not usd or eur, as they adjust the rate in their favor.
The driver was very punctual at the hotel reception at 5 a.m. He was a very good driver, knowing every details of the road by head. We felt very safe with him during the whole trip. The local guide, Mohammed, was a fantastic guide, well prepared, with a huge lexical knowledge. We learned a lot from him about the history, hieroglyph writing. We always had a lot of time at all location, stops.
This was a really fun and memorable experience. It really felt like a desert adventure. The stargazing was a bonus - we got to see Jupiter and Saturn as well as many other stars and close ups of the moon. The guides we very helpful and accommodating, they actually recommended I go a different day because the day I initially selected was going to be cloudy.
