10/10 experience. Having never surfed before, Miguel was the best teacher we could have asked for. We conveniently met close to the cruise port, and Miguel drove us to a beach where he knew the waves would be the right size for our skill level. He is fluent in English and Spanish. He is charismatic, kind, patient, and an exceptional teacher. We learnt that he had experience surfing with and guiding World Champions and Olympic surfers! During our session, he provided an on-land tutorial to explain the techniques, taught us how to read the waves, and joined us in the water to help us catch our first waves. By the end of the excursion, we were confidently standing on our boards (most of the time). I will recommending this lesson to anyone visiting the area.
