Full description
Your Day of the Dead experience begins with pickup from your hotel and heads out into the lively streets of Huatulco on one of the most important nights of the year in the Mexican community. With a local guide, learn about and experience first-hand the colorful celebrations that surround the Day of the Dead. A day of reflection and spiritual guidance, the Day of the Dead is a time for families to come together and remember their lost loved ones. Families celebrate the life and times of those they have lost, and put out food, drinks, flowers, incense, gifts, sugar skulls, and more as a way to connect and remember. On the tour, visit the Santa María Huatulco community to learn about and appreciate this important ceremony. In the company of the locals, experience the Day of the Dead and feel immersed in this truly unique and authentic atmosphere. Listen to locals share their stories and thoughts, pay your respects to your own loved ones, and taste typical Day of the Dead cuisine including sugar skulls, candied pumpkin, and mezcal.
