Three days in the Amazon – simply unforgettable! The accommodation is very basic, with cold showers (which is totally fine in this climate), open walls, and mosquito nets over the beds – protected but close to nature. The staff are super friendly, and the food is excellent: lovingly prepared, with great vegetarian options, fresh juice every day, and more than enough to eat. All the excursions were great – night tour, dolphins, monkeys, spiders – and the sunrise on the water was particularly magical. The monkey sanctuary was also a wonderful moment. The only downside for me as a vegetarian was the piranha fishing – not my thing, but I went along out of politeness. There were always enough breaks between activities. Water, tea, and coffee are available free of charge around the clock, and cola and other drinks can be purchased. There are hardly any snacks available, so it's best to stock up beforehand. Overall, a very special and recommendable experience!

Overall, I liked everything. It was an unforgettable experience. We visited a wildlife rescue center and Monkey Island. We visited a tribe where we bought some cool souvenirs. I expected poor conditions in the Amazon, but in fact there were good tourist lodges, showers, toilets, and a cook who prepared meals. There was a lot of food. I would have liked more activities in the Amazon village—to sit in a local café, go to a local party, but we quickly passed through the village without stopping anywhere. Fishing with piranhas on a very small boat was not very comfortable. On the second day, apart from fishing and two meals, we did nothing. Overall, it was still very cool, and we really liked the guides, Christina and Patrick. The Amazon is magnificent.
