Arashiyama/Tenryu-ji tour: harmony of nature,art &garden

Arashiyama/Tenryu-ji tour: harmony of nature,art &garden

Arashiyama in all seasons: cherry blossoms in spring, fresh greenery in summer, autumn leaves in autumn and snow-capped mountains in winter - the beauty of nature can be enjoyed in a variety of ways throughout the year. Arashiyama's vegetation is four times more diverse than that of Europe, and vividly reflects the natural changes of the seasons. Tenryu-ji Temple's Sogenchi Garden: Surrounded by the Kyoto basin and mountains since the Heian period, Arashiyama has flourished as a playground for aristocrats since ancient times. At its heart, Tenryu-ji's Sogenchi Garden offers a quintessential example of a Japanese garden that uses the technique of 'borrowed scenery' to transform nature itself into a work of art. The flow of the Hozu River and the surrounding nature are skilfully incorporated as part of the garden, allowing visitors to experience the art of harmony with nature. Course details. Hamma was a great tour guide and very patient with us. She did an excellent job organizing the group and communicating the meeting times. Lots of nice stores along the route to pickup little souvenirs if you want but there is no pressure from the sales people. Overall great day despite the heat, wear good shoes, lots of walking!

Our guide Akira was very engaging and thoughtful. Meet up location is in front of Daiso. Group had about 20 people. The locations we visited were pretty nice and we were given sufficient time to take pictures The Kyoto food buffet was really yummy!! The views from the restaurant was also amazing

It is an experience indeed. Both the driver & the tour guide were excellent. They did not leave any stone unturned to make the trip joyous. As we were to come back to Shin Osaka, they went the extra mile by dropping us at our hotel.
