What people are saying about Houston
We are liked the tour, and although having lived in Houston for some time and doing it mainly for our visitors, we had a great time. The only two things I would say is: It should not be called a Hop-on-Hop-off bus because many travelers will expect a typical tour like in London, Rome, Toronto or SF, and it is more of a 90 minute tour. And it would be nice if they could extend the Museum District tour by additionally including a drive around Herrmann Park because that would give people a quick view of the MIller's Outdoor Theatre, McGovern Centennial Garden, the Houston Zoo. and Medical Center
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful evening with our tour guide. She took us to great locations and taught us many things. I'm a native Houstonian, but it was still a great experience for me as I got to learn about a side of Houston that I had never bothered to learn in the past. I highly recommend the tour to anyone who wants to enjoy a night of good drinks in famous bars with an excellent tour guide. Definite 5 out of 5 stars.
In the end we had *one hour* in Galveston to sightsee at our own pace *and* to have lunch. However, we did get to see lots of Houston I would have otherwise missed, and we did stop for 15 minutes or so on the beach front of Galveston which was wild and windy, and we did go on a boat trip and got to see pods of dolphins. It's just a matter of marrying up the programme description to the actuality of the outcome.
Michael was excellent. We learned a lot & had a great time. There were 4 in our group, & each of us has lived in Houston at least 25 years. Still, we all learned so many interesting facts & saw so many beautiful & intriguing things! The 2-hour tour felt like 20 minutes. We were fascinated.
Good information, educational, beautiful buildings and much easier way to learn the tunnels than going out on your own. See what's underground then pop up to the street level periodically to see the buildings and learn more.
