You'll be led into the cavernous cistern that has been repurposed as a subterranean public space. Connect with the city's past while discovering contemporary cultural experiences in this hidden underground gem.  Step into this underground reservoir, which has been repurposed into a unique public space. Experience "Haha real," a site-specific multimedia installation created by artist Rachel Rossin, who drew inspiration from the world of the Velveteen Rabbit. Lose yourself in this hidden piece of Houston history, built in 1926 as part of Houston's water system. As you journey around the Cistern, see characters and symbols appear on LED hologram screens, while kinetic features and lighting augment the architecture of the space and play upon the water’s reflective surface.
