We arrived from Sorrento with an hour to spare, due to train times and had a coffee at the restaurant opposite the meeting point. After leaving our small luggage (2 rucksacks) in the FREE storage area, we easily found our guide at the allotted meeting time. Michele spoke very good English, has an approachable and friendly manner, as well as wide breadth of archaeological knowledge about Pompeii. Some facts we were told were unique to the tour and wouldn't usually be heard through the audio guide (we encountered this on meeting up with friends who chose to do the latter rather than a tour). In the short time available (i.e. a day visit) the approx. two hour tour was fantastic! Michele took us to the main areas intertwining archaeological facts and findings when stopping to look. He also advised where to go after for the rest of the day. With entry included to the site, this tour was great value for money.

Best tour and guide ever!!! My kids and I enjoyed every minute of it. The guide, an archaeologist, was so knowledgeable and kept the tour fun and engaging. My kids tell me that it was their best tour in Italy. The story of Pompeii is fascinating and you truly feel like going back in time.

We were very happy about our guide Anna. She learned us a lot about Pompeii. We enjoyed the tour, Anna was really nice, she looked for space in the shadow for us, because it was hot, offered us to take a picture, ...

This was a great experience! Anna, our guide, is an archeologist and was very knowledgeable and helpful the whole time. It was enough to get a lot of detail but also have time to walk around ourselves.

Giancarlo was a great guide, not rushed, will to answer questions. The guide was for 2 hours and we ran over but he didn't try to make us go quicker and covered everything fully.
