Hoover Dam: 3-Hour Tour

Any traveler visiting Las Vegas would be extremely remiss to skip a chance to see this man-made wonder. Nearly a million other tourists visit the Hoover Dam every year and if you have ever been, you will understand why. The Hoover Dam’s massive size is almost beyond comprehension, as it holds back America’s largest reservoir, Lake Mead.

After being picked up from your requested hotel,  drive to Hoover Dam, a journey which takes approximately 30-45 minutes. After arriving at the dam, you will drive over the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge (Mike O’Callagham-Pat Tillmam Bridge) where you will park and walk up to the bridge itself. From this vantage point you can enjoy an incredible birds-eye view of the dam and the nearby Colorado River. We will stop at Hemenway Park, well known for Desert Big Horn Sheep hanging out. ( no guarantee they will be there) 

You will then stop at the Lake Mead Lookout for an amazing panoramic view of Lake Mead and a fantastic photo opportunity. After this, you will drive across Hoover Dam and go to various lookout points to view the dam and take pictures. At the conclusion of your tour, you will drive back to Las Vegas where you will be dropped off at either your hotel, or a preferred location on the Las Vegas Strip.
