Breathtaking views, delicious Hawaiian food, the ocean, and a great adventure — what else could you ask for? Experience the best that Oahu has to offer on a walking tour through Waikiki that’ll keep you on your toes.
What to Expect
You’ll start your Waikiki tour by meeting at the Duke, where you talk about Hawaii’s surfing legends and heroes. From there, head off to see Hawaii’s first-ever hotel — one that has managed to maintain its fabulous grandeur through to today. With views of the main promenade of Hawaii, you then enjoy a pick-me-up, sampling the peaberry blend and top beans of Kona coffee from this year’s crop.

Next, dig into some samples of poke, a Hawaiian quintessential treat that makes sushi look boring, before heading to see (and sample!) the pristine pineapples that Oahu is famous for. Next on your list are local favorites: shaved ice with the bizarre and delicious adzuki beans, and the quintessentially Hawaiian and totally messy loco moco (white rice topped with a burger patty, fried egg, and gravy).

If you can already feel the food coma setting in, fear not, because you’ll burn all that sugar off with a walk through Kapiolani Park, where you’ll pass the WWI monument and the prestigious outrigger canoe club of Hawaiian High Society. You’ll also get a coastal overlook over Diamond Head, where you make a secret detour to follow the seawall past some hidden views of Oahu’s poshest mansions and best beaches. Pass by the Amelia Earhart monument, as well as the lovely Honolulu Memorial Park. You may pause along the way for a little snack at one of the prettiest points. On weekends, get to pass through an awesome local farmers’ market.

After rounding the rest of the majestic mountain and the elevated seascapes, end at a much-needed refreshment station for açai bowls and local fruits. It’s here that you end your Waikiki tour, but you’re free to stay and chill or to head out and grab dinner with new friends.
