Krabi: Hong Islands Day Trip by Speedboat with Lunch

Krabi: Hong Islands Day Trip by Speedboat with Lunch

Get picked up by minivan from your hotel in Ao Nang, Krabi Town, Ao Nam Mao, Klong Muang and Tubkaek Beach, or by speed boat if you stay at Railay Beach. Meet the boat crew of Sea Eagle at Nopparat Thara Pier and start the trip with a cruise to the four superb islands of the Hong Island group. Set against the spectacular backdrop of Phang Nga Bay, with its countless rocky outcrops, the islands are rightly considered to be among the most beautiful in Krabi province. The first stop will be at the main island itself. The half-circle shaped Hong Island is uninhabited, except for the birds, white-faced gibbons and giant monitor lizards that can be often spotted on the main white sand beach. Enjoy a delicious lunch including seasonal fruits and refreshments at the magnificent twin bays of Koh Hong. You will have a plenty of time to take in the beauty of this superb island including the spectacular panoramic 360° viewpoint. Its interior is home to a large lagoon, where you can find yourself at one with nature. The entrance to the lagoon is through a dramatic cliff passage that should be photographed on your way out. The tour will also include at least two pretty decent snorkeling stops of 40 minutes each. The most impressive one is at Lao Lading Island, a small limestone island with high cliffs and sandy sheltered beaches. Continue to Pakbia Island for taking photos and have a swim at the impressive sandbars revealed at low tide. Cruise back to the pier in Ao Nang where the van driver will give you a safe ride to your hotel.

Our day excursion out of Phuket was absolutely unforgettable, thanks in large part to our incredible kayak guide, Saman. He led us through stunning sea caves and peaceful lagoons — Bat Cave was especially memorable. The scenery was surreal, and paddling through those hidden spots felt like stepping into another world. The highlight of the entire trip was seeing bioluminescent plankton — absolutely magical. Watching the water glow around us was something we’ll never forget. We were also surprised with a full, delicious lunch served right on the boat. And while not a main highlight, learning how to make a kratong was a beautiful cultural touch that made the experience even more special. This tour blends adventure, nature, and culture in the best way — highly recommended!

Great! Chilled boat ride to enjoy the scenery; fantastic guide, very enjoyable , including his show on board the boat; we had enough time to see everything and enjoy; there were plenty of food and drinks with a very accommodating crew! the canoeing was very good in a very particular scenery with a very nice guide, although I would not enter places full of bat animals - not safe. Enough time to swim was provided as well. This was a perfect trip despite the cloudy weather! Wonderful value for money paid!

Despite the large number of participants, the trip was extremely well organized. The crew, the drivers, and the canoe guides were all very friendly and attentive. The food on board was good and plentiful. Everyone on board was nice and, like us, seemed very satisfied. Despite the sudden downpour. The program continued without interruption. It was a successful trip with amazing sights that I can only recommend. Kudos to the crew.
