Panoramic Sunset Hike
Climb: We slowly walk for about fifteen minutes through the forest getting to know our guests better. Exiting the forest, we follow the path of the Cross at a leisurely pace while talking about the history, culture, landmarks and landscapes of Dubrovnik and the surrounding area. There is the possibility of stopping, resting, and occasionally sitting down with beautiful views of the Old Town, the Adriatic Sea and the island of Lokrum. The entire climb usually takes one hour. Arrival at the top: Upon successfully reaching the top of Srđ, we celebrate with a proud photo and enjoy the best view of Dubrovnik. We slow down by visiting the naturally cooled Museum of Homeland War in the old Napoleon stone fortress Imperial. We head out on top of the fortress with a view that few visitors to Dubrovnik know about, away from the usual crowds and gatherings near the cable car and restaurant. First part of descent: After the Imperial fortress, we descend the road for about thirty minutes until we reach Bosanka, to a private outdoor property, where only our group is allowed an uninterrupted rest with food, drink, conversation, and of course a great view of the sunset. Second and final part of the descent: We continue the descent on the newly refurbished and lit path from Bosanka towards the port of the Old Town. We pass through an underpass below the motorway and finish the tour by the café "Bikers" near Ploče, or the southern entrance to the Old Town. This final part of the descent is especially beautiful after sunset as the lit walls and the rest of Dubrovnik can be viewed from the path, and often a beautifully lit sailboat can be seen in front of Lokrum.
