After local seafood lunch with local seafood, take a leisurely drive to Yoichi Distillery, where the famous Nikka Whiskey is produced. Hear some explanation about the founder Masataka Taketsuru’s Scottish inspiration.  Try a sample for yourself and enjoy the taste. Soft-drinks are provided for non-alcohol drinkers and those under 20 years old. Head back to your accommodation after visiting the distillery.

    Start your day by driving from Sapporo to Mount Usu and take the Mount Usu ropeway to see the view of Lake Toya. Take in the panorama of the ocean and see the volcanic area of Usu and Showa Shinzan. Have a quick break on your way and stop at Silo View Spot to enjoy views of Lake Toya on a clear day. Arrive at Mount Usu and grab lunch before hopping aboard the ropeway up the mountain. Take a short walk at the mountaintop to see the lake and ocean views. It’s one of the favorite local spots.  After lunch head to Noboribetsu Hell Valley. Visit Noboribetsu which is one of the most famous hot springs in Hokkaido. Witness the natural phenomenon responsible for Noboribetsu’s healing waters. Enjoy the beautiful view with many short hiking trails and remain in complete awe. Depending on the season, you will have some time here to either enjoy the hiking trails and foot onsen around Onuma Pond ...
