Full description
The Marble Mountains (Vietnamese: Ngu Hanh Son; literally "five elements mountains") is a popular sightseeing location in Da Nang because of its alluring beauty. Stone steps carved into the mountain lead to a Buddhist Pagoda. There are plenty of exercises going up with many steps for a beautiful view from the top of the mountain. We will then visit the stone village where the skilled local sculptors create many marble products. Then, you will go to Am Phu Cave where there is a replica of “Heaven and Hell”, eerie underground tunnels while listening to the clapping of bats' wings in the cave. Before getting back to the hotel, we head to Son Tra Linh Ung Pagoda. Built under the reign of King Minh Mang in the Nguyen Dynasty (the 19th century), legend has it a Buddhist statue drifted downstream to the area and got anchored at a sandy embankment. The local villagers thought it was a good sign, so they built up a small pagoda to worship the statue. From that day, they said, the whole coastal region has been granted with good weather, no big storms or rough sea waves, while local fishermen harvesting good fishing.

A beautiful tour starting from the marble mountains. Still inconspicuous from below, we were amazed by the large statues and pagodas on the mountain. Then it goes into a cave in the mountain itself. This represents heaven and hell with eerily beautiful figures. Then we went to the Lady Buddha, a huge statue and a beautiful pagoda with a view of Da Nang.

Very nice trip to the mountains and caves around Da Nang. The description said "traveling in a small group" - in the end we were just two people. Practically a private tour... Top! Very nice, unobtrusive guide and a safe driver. We had lots of fun. We would love to book with GetYourGuide again!!!

Great tour, outstanding guide!

We were picked up on time and our guide Gumg introduced herself. From the we were taken to the Linh Ung Pergoda. Great views back to DeNang and enough time th o look around the pergoda. Our guide explained the history of the pergoda and took us to several locations around so we could get great views of the pergoda. After about hour we departed for Marble mountain. Before we arrived at the mountain we visited a marble workshop where we were able to see a mason at work and purchase some marble products. Our guide then took us to the mountain showed us around and explained the history of the Buddist temple built into the mountain. We had enough time to explore the entire mountain and in each part Gumg explanined what we were seeing and the history. A really good morning tour
