Thư was a wonderful, patient guide. She took me through the process of silk making from beginning to end. Starting with picking the Mulberry leaves and feeding them to the caterpillars. She and the other women showed me how to be a part of the whole process! It was an amazing day, and I will never look at the silk the same way again. She also helped me pick out silk scarves for members of my family. I bought many gifts here because I knew it was real silk. I would definitely recommend this tour for all ages!
This tour was extremely informative and we learned so much. It was not just verbally bit hands on as well. We got to try the mulberrys and feed the silk worms, preparing their food. I didn't realise that as they grew the leaf size they eat increases. They eat so much and so fast. It was great to see how to wave the silks and learn about the different blends. We had our own tour person who helped us at the end with picking the clothes we wanted. Also the lunch was fabulous and they catered to our vegetarian needs.
