What to Expect
My Lai is a village in Vietnam that has become famous due to the mass murder of more than 300 unarmed civilians, including women, children, and the elderly. This massacre occurred during the Vietnam War, and on a full-day trip from Hoi An, you will learn more about what happened and how it affected the village.
Before reaching My Lai village, make a stop at the Pig market which offers some of the most intimate views of the daily local life in the Central Coast. After, visit Chien Dan Cham towers, a vestige of the Champa civilization.
Upon arriving in My Lai - one of the least-developed areas of Vietnam - you will visit the city museum. See displays recounting what occurred, and walk to the site where the violence happened. Afterward, you may have the chance to meet survivors. You can also talk with locals and explore the village before enjoying lunch. Then you will be returned to your hotel.
