What to Expect
Begin this full-day tour with a visit to the former capital and religious center of the Champa Kingdom. The Mỹ Sơn sanctuary was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999 for the remains of its impressive tower temples and insight into a unique Hindu culture of the 4th to 13th centuries.

Beautifully situated in a lush green valley of the Duy Xuyen District, there are dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries of Hindu art that date from between the 7th and 13th centuries, forming the most important complex of a unique interchange of cultures.

Return to Hoi An for a delicious lunch. Then, explore the city on foot. A prosperous seaport from the 16th to 18th centuries, Hoi An remains a beautiful and compact city that is ideal for walking. Go to a colorful market to experience city life in full flow, and explore the old merchant houses, including the immaculate 18th-century Tan Ky House.

Continue to the Assembly Hall of the Fujian Chinese Congregation, founded in 1697 by the Fujian Chinese merchants as a venue for community meetings. Admire the temple’s artistic decorations and stunning statues.

Visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, built in 1593 by the Japanese community of Hoi An to link their neighborhood to the Chinese quarter across the river. You will also get to see local residents farming the silkworms that produce the silk for Hoi An's burgeoning textile industry.

An optional stop is at the private home of Diep Dong Nguyen (subject to availability) to view a stunning collection of pottery, seals and old Hoi An photographs.
