The streetfood tour with our guide Jackie was just amazing. Jackie was fun, easy to talk to and her english was perfect. We really enjoyed her company, the food and the drinks as well. Everything was really great. We especially liked that we only ate at local restaurants, to support them. Surprisingly the bingo was really fun and easy too! We really recommend this to everyone who would like to try local food with a guide.

Full description


Head off the usual tourist trail and straight into foodie heaven. A local food-loving guide will uncover hidden treasures and snacks favored by locals, such as white rose bread.

Next, go to a Hoi An local market and wander around the food stalls, where you might find amazing cao lau noodle and much more besides.

Then, head to the heart of Hoi An's ancient town, sit on an authentic boat on Hoai River and in the evening and release flower garlands like a local, and play games such as bingo or Dap Nieu (a game involving breaking clay pots with wooden clubs while blindfolded).

After the tour, you have the option to return to your hotel, or head to Pub Street, where you can experience Hoi An bar life.

  • Visitors are required to purchase an entrance ticket for Hoi An’s Old Quarter. We will experience the lantern boat and folk games in hoi an old town, so please prepare entrance tickets to the Old Town in advance or prepare extra cash to buy it later on the tour. You can reuse tickets during your stay in Hoi an

We did the evening food tour with Nancy, and having done many food tours, especially in Vietnam, I have to say this was by far the best! Nancy was so knowledgable about the food, culture and people of Hoi An. She was clearly so deeply integrated into her community and had a genuine love for the food as well as the people. When we visit Hoi An again, we will probably just do the food tours for breakfast, lunch and dinner and save ourselves searching for restaurants haha. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
